RESEARCH INTERESTS

* Experimental cosmology
* Satellite, balloon-born and ground-based studies of the early universe
* Cosmic Background Radiation – spectrum, anisotropy and polarization
* Galaxy cluster cooling (Sunyaev-Zeldovich) measurements

A talk by Dr Lubin in KITP:

The next generation of CMB measurements promises to greatly increase our knowledge of the CMB angular power spectrum. This should enable us to determine many of the cosmological parameters that define our universe such as the overall mass and baryon density, if there is a significant vacuum energy component, the Hubble parameter, spectral tilt and reionization history, among others. Whether nature is kind to us or whether foreground contamination and systematics prevent the full realization of these goals remains to be seen.
